Open the thumbnail action for your video. Scrub the timeline, use slower playback or fine stepping, and export the selected frame as PNG.
Look at nearby frames
A blink, cut or motion blur can make one still look poor. Inspect adjacent moments and choose a frame that communicates the scene clearly.
Detail comes from the source
A blurred or low-resolution video cannot yield detail that was never recorded. Resize the exported PNG afterward only if the receiving application needs other dimensions.
