Use a preset for a quick result
Resize presets scale an image to a percentage or a maximum height. Height presets preserve proportions and do not enlarge smaller inputs. The resized result is a separate copy.
Choose your own dimensions
- Select the images, then choose NativeActions → Resize → Custom.
- Enter the width and height you need.
- Keep aspect ratio enabled when you want to preserve the original proportions.
- Allow enlargement only when you intentionally want to scale smaller images up. Apply the resize.
Bigger is not more detailed
Upscaling increases the pixel dimensions; it cannot recover detail missing from the original. For a smaller upload, resizing can help more than trying increasingly aggressive compression.
