What the message means

“The file could not be processed. It may be damaged, encrypted, or use an unsupported codec.” means the processing engine could not read the media. Your original stays exactly as it was.

Check the file

  1. Play the file in a media player. If it stops or shows errors, the file is probably damaged or incomplete.
  2. Make sure a download or copy has finished, and that a cloud file is fully available on this device.
  3. Purchased or streamed media with copy protection cannot be converted.
  4. If the file plays normally, convert it to MP4 first, then run the original action on the new file.

No audio stream

“The selected video does not contain an audio stream” appears when you extract or compress audio from a video that has no sound track. Screen recordings and some exported clips are silent by design.
