The image is too large
“This image exceeds the safe pixel limit” protects your computer from running out of memory on extremely large images. Resize the image in its original editor, or split a very large scan into smaller parts, then convert again.
Animation and transparency
- “This operation could discard animation”: the chosen output would keep only one frame. Convert an animated image to GIF or WebP to keep the animation.
- “This encoder cannot preserve transparency in AVIF”: choose WebP or PNG to keep transparent areas.
- “The conversion produced no output”: the source may be damaged or empty. Open it in an image viewer, save a fresh copy and try again.
A format is not offered
The menu only lists conversions that make sense for the selected files. If a format is missing, check the guide on formats and actions that are not listed.
