Build the pattern
Select files and open NativeActions → More tools → Batch rename. Use {name} for the existing name and {n} for a sequence number. Inspect proposed names before applying.
This affects the selected names
Unlike conversion, renaming changes the selected items. It does not produce a converted copy. Avoid renaming a file that another application or active task is reading.
Keep names distinct
A pattern can collide with another selected or existing filename. Add a sequence where needed. Keep a record or backup when the original names are important.
