Why AVIF
AVIF can offer efficient image storage, including transparency. Encoding may take longer than a familiar JPEG conversion, especially with large images or a large selection.
Create and inspect
Choose NativeActions → Convert → AVIF for a supported image. Wait for the output and open it in the actual application where you intend to use it. Check transparency and fine detail.
Keep an alternative
If the receiving app cannot open AVIF, provide a supported JPEG, PNG or WebP instead. The Storage optimization preset can choose AVIF while also applying other changes; it is not identical to format conversion alone.
