Create the protected copy
Select a PDF and choose NativeActions → PDF → Password protect. Enter the intended password, create the result, then reopen it to verify that password.
Keep the password available
Store it in your password manager. If your intention is to separate access to the file from access to the password, avoid sending both together in the same message.
Review content separately
Password protection does not remove sensitive visible content, metadata or unwanted pages. Inspect the document and perform those changes separately before sharing.
