What usually causes it
This message appears when Windows cannot read an input or write a result. Your originals remain unchanged. The most common causes are another app holding the file open, a full drive, or a USB or network drive that disconnected during the operation.
Fix it
- Close apps that have the file open, such as Word, Acrobat, a photo editor or a video player, then try again.
- Check free space on the drive that contains the file. Video and batch results can be large.
- If the file is on a USB stick or network share, reconnect it or copy the file to a local folder first.
- If “The destination folder is no longer available” appears, the folder was moved, renamed or deleted while the operation ran. Choose the file again from its current location.
Too many files with the same name
If a folder already contains many results with the same base name, NativeActions stops rather than numbering endlessly. Move or rename older results, or run the action in a new folder.
