Turn a picture into text
- Select one supported image stored on your computer.
- Choose NativeActions → Extract → Copy text from image.
- Paste into your text editor or document to inspect the recognized text.
Help recognition get it right
A clear, upright image with readable text works best. Small, blurred or highly stylized text may be recognized imperfectly. Available recognition languages depend on the OCR languages installed in Windows.
Always review the pasted text, especially numbers, names and formatting. OCR is recognition, not a guarantee of an exact transcription.
If nothing is copied
Confirm that the image is downloaded and readable. Close software that may be holding the clipboard, then try again. If recognition finds no text, use a clearer source image.
